The Maze Runner is a book published by James Dashner. It tells the story of a boy called Thomas that wakes up in a rare place called The Glade. He starts seeing bunch of boys that he had never saw in his life. At that same moment he wonders that he doesn't remembers anything of his whole life, only his name, Thomas. So this kid began to socialize with the other boys and he saw that two boys were the leaders that maintained order in the place, they were Newt and Alby. You will ask, maintain order of what? Well, outside of the Glade was a long labyrinth with thick and tall walls and people believed that for getting out of The Glade you needed to cross the labyrinth. But that wasn't the problem, the difficult part of getting out from the Glade was that the labyrinth was protected by some strange and big creatures called the Grievers. The labyrinth had a huge door that at night closes so Newt and Alby have the tasks of checking that every night anyone gets trapped inside. One day a new girl entered the girl but she only stayed there for a few days before she entered in a coma. Since she entered in that status everything in The Glade started to change. The sun disappeared and now the doors remained open day and night. The boys were starting to enter in a panic status because the creatures will take them and kill them, but at the end Thomas had a brilliant idea were he kept all of the boys safe and he found a way to escape.
The Maze Runner is a book that hooked me since I started reading it. Something in it context was persuading me to continue reading it more and more. While I passed the pages I realized that it was the suspense that hooked me. Suspense is a way that engages me too much when I read books and was the main reason why I enjoyed this book. While reading The Maze Runner I found that it is constantly making situations were you don't know what would happen and you want to continue reading for finding the answer to it. In conclusion, I enjoyed really much reading this book because it hooked me from the beginning until the end with all of the suspense that was included.
