Final Draft
Romeo and Juliet (1) is based on the most famous love story and is an adaptation where violence and romance are combined, it is one of William Shakespeare's best plays.(2) This is a movie were two families, calculates and Montague have many disagreements. Juliet is a Capulet and Romeo is a Montague, they try to see each other every time and marry. At the end of the story, Juliet and Romeo make suicide.
I really like the movie in a lot of aspects. Firstly with the characters, I think that mostly all characters acted really well the scenes as it seem in the book. In my opinion, Romeo and Juliet were the best actors because they demonstrated true love and have the same characteristics as in the book. There were also cool parts that were awesome to me, for example the suspense that it had in the final scene were Romeo did suicide and Juliet could help him before he drink the poison, but what I mostly like of the movie was that it was really funny mostly when Mercutio appeared because he was dressed as a girl and was really weird.
I like many points about the story but I also have dislikes about it. For example I think that this was kind of a parody because there were guns and cars and they deleted many scenes of the book. I think they should included the parts were Romeo buys the poison to the Apothecary or when Romeo fights with Paris, that would make better the movie. But in generally I think that there are more positive things to say about the movie than negative.
Talking about the likes and dislikes, I also think that the movie compares more to the movie than contrasts. I think that it compares to the movie in the way that I also say it before, the love in Romeo and Juliet, I think that this love as it appeared in the movie and I also think that they made a good effort in the scene of a Mercutio and Tybalt fighting because this also can help to understand more the story. In contrasting is more obvious, there were cars and guns and there weren't 2 important scenes that I mentioned before, Apothecary doesn't sell the poison and Paris does not fight with Romeo.
In overall, this is a good adaptation of the most famous love story. If you read the book I recommend to you to see the movie because this can help you tok have a better understanding about the plot. Also I will recommend the movie to people that want to see funny and parodies movies.
